According to Srisangnam, the ASEAN DLP beneficiaries became agents of change in fighting online disinformation and misinformation in their respective communities after gaining digital literacy knowledge and skills.”

The e-learning platform can be accessed by the entire community to improve their digital literacy skills for free.

DigitalClassASEAN.org offers five main modules that cover important and relevant topics regarding digital literacy, namely digital citizenship, media and information literacy, misinformation and disinformation, and positive digital participation.

Several special topics, such as social media ethics, digital parenting, and avoiding online fraud can also be accessed by users via this platform.

Meanwhile, the ASEAN Foundation is collaborating with the Break the Fake Movement, namely the local implementing partner of ASEAN DLP and a fact-checking organization in the Philippines to develop the module in it. The modules and platforms are available in eight local ASEAN languages, namely Indonesian, Burmese, Khmer, Laos, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese.

After completing all the chapters, the user can download the certificate of achievement he has done. This platform not only targets young people, but also teachers, community leaders, government officials, the elderly and people with disabilities.

By prioritizing inclusivity and accessibility, DigitalClassASEAN.org offers tools to assist individuals with disabilities in their learning process.

Previously, Google.org had distributed grant funds of $1.5 million to the ASEAN Foundation for the implementation of ASEAN DLP from 2022 to 2024. (AT Network)
