ASIATODAY.ID, BIAK – The Integrated Marine and Fisheries Center of Biak Nunfor Regency, Papua exported 7 tons of fresh tuna to Japan via Frans Kaisiepo Biak International Airport, Wednesday, January 3 2024.
“Today, as many as seven tons of tuna caught by SKPT Biak partner fishermen were exported to Japan,” said Head of the Biak Numfor Fisheries Service Effendi Igirisa in Biak, Wednesday.
He said that it is hoped that the export of fresh tuna in early 2024 will provide enthusiasm and motivation for Biak fishermen to increase their catches.
According to Effendi, demand for fresh tuna from Biak to Japan at the start of the new year 2024 is very promising.
