The two Head of Agreements that were ratified were the collaboration for the development of Dukuh Atas Pedestrian Deck with Hankyu Hanshin Properties and Mitsubishi Jisho Design as well as Blok M Mixed Use with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero).

Furthermore, 4 memorandums of understanding were signed with PT Wisma Nusantara Internasional regarding the development of the HI Roundabout area. Then, with PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk. regarding Regional Development and Construction of the Phase 2 Depot of MRT Jakarta.

Apart from that, with Perumda PAL Jaya regarding the development of the West Setiabudi reservoir. Lastly, with JR East regarding retail business development at the North South line station of MRT Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the signing of the minutes of discussion was carried out with Urban Renaissance regarding the Dukuh Atas pedestrian deck.

“TOD Investment Forum is an effort we are making to encourage collaboration with various parties in developing areas in Jakarta into areas that provide comfort and a better quality of life for the community. Apart from that, to provide more efficient and effective options for citizens in mobility from one point to their destination,” explained Tuhiyat.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi explained that since it began operating in 2019, PT MRT Jakarta has played an important role in establishing an efficient public transportation system in Jakarta and encouraging the use of sustainable transportation modes.

Budi Karya said that TOD development around the Jakarta MRT station would offer unique investment and innovation opportunities.

By integrating the transportation network, TOD will not only improve connectivity and accessibility, but also improve the welfare of Jakarta residents and Jakarta’s economic growth.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi added that development in terms of infrastructure, transportation and urban development was also carried out to prepare Jakarta as a Global City and Economic Epicentrum after moving the capital to the archipelago.

Heru explained that Jakarta would focus on attracting international attention in the fields of tourism and MICE.

After the government moves completely to IKN, there will be many idle assets in the form of former government buildings in Jakarta that can be utilized.

“Jakarta will have the opportunity to improve itself in terms of urban design, one of which is through developing TOD projects in the city center via MRT Jakarta,” concluded Heru. (ATN)
