ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – A PK-IFP training aircraft crashed at the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Sunburst Field, South Tangerang, Sunday, May 19 2024. Three people were reported to have died in this incident.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said that currently the South Tangerang Resort Police team is evacuating three victims who were declared dead on the spot.
Apart from evacuating the victims, the police are also conducting a crime scene investigation to determine the cause of the plane crash.
“Based on the results of the interim investigation, the aircraft was a training aircraft belonging to the Indonesia Flying Club which flew from the Pondok Cabe runway in South Tangerang. The aircraft type was PK-IFP. Meanwhile, the information is now complete, the complete report will follow,” said Ade.
Ade said the total number of fatalities currently is three people. Two people were still on the plane and one other fatality had already left the plane.
“Three people died, two people were still on the plane and one was lying outside,” he said. (ATN)
