ASIATODAY.ID, TOGEAN – A 19 year old Swiss student, Luy, was found dead while snorkeling in the waters of the Togean Islands, Tojo Unauna Regency, Central Sulawesi on Sunday, January 12 2025, not far from where he was staying at the Cristine Dive Unauna Resort.
Luy, who traveled alone, arrived in the Togean Islands on January 10 2025 using a sea toll boat from Malenge. He stayed at Cristine Dive Unauna Resort while exploring the area. The owner of Cristine Dive Unauna, Umar, confirmed the truth of the incident.
“Luy’s body was immediately taken to Ampana using a speedboat belonging to the Tojo Unauna Regency Government and then handed over to the Swiss Embassy in Jakarta, to handle the further process,” explained Umar.
According to Umar, a Swiss Embassy staff member named Mr. Marlen has been contacted regarding this incident. Apart from that, sad news has also been conveyed to Luy’s parents in Switzerland.
Luy’s body was first discovered by a search team and immediately taken to Cristine Dive Unauna Resort, before being moved to Wakai. (AT Network)
