“It is an honor for us to inaugurate a group of electricity projects of this magnitude. We understand how important the energy we need is to carry out the transformation of this nation. We want to become a modern country, a developed country. We want to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people, we want to eliminate poverty from the earth Indonesia,” said Prabowo.

To make this happen, according to Prabowo, Indonesia must become a developed country, an industrial country that has mastered the technology to process natural resources into finished goods that industry needs.

“We have quite large natural resources. We now have the ability to carry out this transformation. For this reason, we are now one of the countries in the world that is perhaps among the most advanced in the field of energy transformation into renewable energy, clean energy, green energy. reduce carbon emissions,” explained Prabowo.

Regarding green energy, Minister Bahlil added that currently, of the total existing electricity throughout Indonesia, it is 101 GW, which is managed by PT Perusahaan Perusahaan Usaha Negara (Persero) of 72-75 GW with a percentage using new, renewable energy of 15-16% with a target 23% in 2025, there will be a deficit of 8 GW and the Government is confident that it will be able to resolve it according to the targets that have been set.

“Given the existing conditions, we will be able to achieve our targets, including the inauguration of the electricity project today where 89% of the total 3.2 GW is clean energy-based electricity,” said Bahlil.

Bahlil continued that 89% of the total capacity of 3.2 GW of electricity based on new and renewable energy came from gas and renewable energy sources. This step is part of ongoing efforts to support President Prabowo’s commitment, both domestically and abroad, in accelerating the energy transition from fossil-based steam power plants to new, renewable energy.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo emphasized PLN’s commitment to managing reliable electricity infrastructure.

“We ensure that the electricity supply produced by these projects can be distributed optimally to support community activities and the industrial sector,” he explained.
