The 5th AICEE Unites Regional Scholars to Drive Sustainable Energy Innovation

The 5th ASEAN International Conference on Energy and Environment (AICEE) was successfully held on October 15, 2025. Special

ASIATODAY.ID, KUALA LUMPUR – The 5th ASEAN International Conference on Energy and Environment (AICEE) was successfully held on October 15, 2025, alongside the 25th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-25) and the 43rd ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.

Hosted by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) Malaysia and organised by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), the 5th AICEE served as a key platform to bring together researchers and policymakers with government and industry leaders.

Aligned with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, the 5th AICEE adopted the theme “Sustainable Energy for ASEAN’s Prosperity: Innovation, Inclusivity, and Regional Cooperation.” The conference came at a pivotal time as ASEAN endorsed a new cycle of the region’s energy blueprint—the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) 2026-2030—spotlighting research and innovation to accelerate the shift toward a sustainable and resilient energy future. The findings of the 5th AICEE will provide inputs and guidance for implementing the next APAEC.
