Israel is Barbaric and Evil

Illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Special

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Government of the Republic of Indonesia, together with fifteen partner countries and two international organizations, strongly condemns the Israeli Parliament’s decision to approve two draft laws seeking to impose what it calls “Israeli sovereignty” over the occupied West Bank.

This move is viewed as a serious violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, since 1967.

The joint statement of condemnation was issued by the Republic of Indonesia, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Türkiye, Republic of Djibouti, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Republic of The Gambia, State of Palestine, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait, State of Libya, Malaysia, Arab Republic of Egypt, Federal Republic of Nigeria, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Violation of International Law and ICJ Advisory Opinion

The countries reaffirmed that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land is illegal, as confirmed by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Advisory Opinion, which explicitly rejected the legality of settlement construction and annexation in the occupied West Bank.

They further welcomed the ICJ Advisory Opinion dated 22 October 2025, which reaffirmed Israel’s obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure that Palestinians in the occupied territories, including Gaza, have access to essential humanitarian needs. The ruling also calls on Israel to allow and facilitate all humanitarian assistance efforts, particularly those carried out by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Condemnation of Blockade and Forced Displacement

The ICJ reiterated the prohibition of starvation as a method of warfare, condemning Israel’s ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip, and highlighted the illegality of mass forced displacement and deportation that lead to inhumane living conditions for Palestinian civilians.

The Court also reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine. The UN Security Council has already declared Israel’s territorial claims over East Jerusalem as “null and void.”

Furthermore, the proposed “Law to Cease UNRWA Operations in the Territory of the State of Israel”, which seeks to restrict humanitarian work in East Jerusalem, is viewed as another violation of international humanitarian principles.

International Call to End Escalation and Restore Justice

The participating countries warned against Israel’s unilateral and unlawful policies and urged the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibility to compel Israel to end its illegal occupation, annexation, and human rights violations in the Palestinian territories.

They reaffirmed their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and sovereign State based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This, they stressed, remains the only path toward a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the Middle East. (AT Network)
