ASIATODAY.ID, SINGAPORE — Marina Bay is set to become home to a world-class urban wellness destination.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has officially awarded the tender to Therme Group Singapore, a leading global wellness operator, to develop and manage a landmark wellness attraction at Marina South Coastal.

According to CNA, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the ambitious project — valued at S$1 billion (approximately US$730 million or Rp12.8 trillion) — is scheduled to open in 2030. Once fully operational, it is expected to attract over 2 million visitors annually, with nearly half of them being international tourists.

Therme Group, known for its renowned wellness destinations in Germany, the UK, and Romania, will develop a sprawling four-hectare complex, equivalent to six football fields.

The site will feature an impressive array of facilities, including thermal pools, lush botanical gardens, immersive art installations, cutting-edge health technology, saunas, steam baths, and water slides.

In addition to the wellness complex, Therme Group Singapore will also create a public park covering nearly four hectares. The park will connect Marina Barrage with the new wellness hub, providing a vibrant green space for residents and visitors alike.

STB’s Assistant Chief Executive for Experience Development, Jean Ng, welcomed the project as a major step toward positioning Singapore as a global wellness capital.

“We are delighted to award this important wellness attraction to Therme Group Singapore. Our vision is to make Singapore the leading urban wellness haven through world-class facilities,” she said.

Mah Bow Tan, Chairman of Therme Group Asia, highlighted the project’s inclusive vision.

“Therme Singapore will be a welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds — promoting healthy living, social connection, and community wellbeing,” he stated.

Therme Group also reaffirmed its commitment to partner with local organizations to activate the public spaces around Marina Bay, showcasing Singapore as a global leader in holistic wellness and sustainable urban living. (AT Network)
