Rethinking Leadership for an Era of Complexity

The Coach Partnership introduces an ontological approach to leadership, empowering Indonesian leaders to create sustainable leadership that begins with transforming the inner conditions that shape external results. ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — Organizations today are operating in an environment defined by accelerating change, technological disruption, and increasing complexity. While businesses continue to invest in digital capabilities and organizational transformation, many leadership challenges remain deeply human requiring leaders to build trust, navigate uncertainty, and inspire people toward a shared future.

Responding to this evolving leadership landscape, The Coach Partnership, in collaboration with PT Orbit Nasional Edukasi also known as ONE Indonesia, presented Transformational Leadership on June 11, 2026 at Wyndham Hotel Jakarta.

The executive learning experience introduced leaders to an ontological perspective, one that views leadership not merely as a collection of competencies, but as a way of being that shapes how people observe, communicate, make decisions, and ultimately influence organizational outcomes.

At the center of the program was The Leadership Landscape, a framework that encourages leaders to begin transformation from within. Through the four dimensions of leadership the world within me, the world I create, the world between us, and the world around me, participants explored how awareness, language, emotions, and relationships become the foundation for sustainable leadership and organizational performance.

Sharing the philosophy behind the approach, Sari Marsden, Executive Coach and Leadership Trainer at The Coach Partnership, emphasized that meaningful leadership transformation begins with the individual.

“Transformational leadership begins with transforming ourselves before we attempt to transform others. When leaders develop greater awareness of their body, emotions, and mindset, they expand their capacity to create authentic relationships, stronger presence, and meaningful conversations that lead to sustainable change.”

The session reinforced that transformational leadership is not about responding more effectively to change alone, but about expanding a leader’s capacity to create new possibilities. By developing a deeper understanding of their own way of being, leaders become better equipped to influence culture, strengthen collaboration, and enable innovation across their organizations.

Reflecting on the importance of integrating leadership development with organizational transformation, Arifa Tan, Founder & CEO of IStar Technology highlighted the complementary role of technology in enabling sustainable business performance.

“As businesses continue to navigate rapid change, organizations need leaders who can create alignment, inspire trust, and enable meaningful transformation. We believe that combining technology with a human-centered approach to leadership development equips organizations to build sustainable performance in an increasingly complex environment,” said Arifa Tan, Founder & CEO of IStar Technology.

Through this collaboration, The Coach Partnership, and PT Orbit Nasional Edukasi (ONE Indonesia) reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing leadership development in Indonesia.

By bringing together globally recognized coaching methodologies, technology enabled transformation, and executive learning, the initiative aims to equip leaders with the awareness, mindset, and capabilities required to lead confidently in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing world.
