ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia is ready to send humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
This was conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after chairing a limited meeting discussing developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Monday (30/10/2023), at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
“Indonesia is ready to send humanitarian aid that will be tailored to the requests and needs of the Palestinian people, and the first batch will be sent this week. “This assistance is a combination of assistance from the government, the business world and the community,” he said.
President Jokowi said that Indonesia continues to closely follow developments in Gaza and Indonesia is very angry about the worsening situation in the region, especially the humanitarian situation.
“Indonesia’s position is very clear and firm, strongly condemning random attacks on civilians and civilian facilities in Gaza,” he said.
President Jokowi added that Indonesia also continues to communicate with many parties to try to resolve this problem.
“The violence must stop, a ceasefire must continue to be sought, humanitarian assistance must continue to be encouraged and accelerated,” he stressed. (At Network)
