Budi explained that currently the Ministry of Transportation together with Patimban International Port as the operator of Patimban Port are looking for strategic partners who have the ability and capacity to manage international ports and have a global network.

Currently, Patimban International Port has received a cooperation offer proposal from Abu Dhabi Port.

“Some things are still being negotiated. “Hopefully we can provide the best offer that is mutually beneficial,” said Budi Karya in his official statement, Sunday, November 26 2023.

During the meeting, Budi Karya conveyed to Abu Dhabi Port that Patimban Port was the first supply chain port in Indonesia that was integrated with the industrial area around the port (hinterland).

The Indonesian government, said Budi, is fully committed to making the existence of Patimban Port provide maximum benefits for the community and increase the nation’s competitiveness.

Currently, the government continues to accelerate the completion of the development of Patimban Port. Phase 1 construction of a vehicle terminal with a capacity of 218,000 CBU and a container terminal with a capacity of 250,000 TEU has been completed.

“Currently the construction phase of phase 2 is underway which will increase the capacity of the vehicle terminal to 600,000 CBU and the container terminal to reach 3.75 million TEU,” he said. (AT Network)
