ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia has begun investigating the Telkom Group corruption case related to the procurement of fictitious goods and services.
Head of the KPK News Department, Ali Fikri, said that in this case there were indications of fictitious procurement at the Telkom Group which caused state losses of hundreds of billions.
“This procurement is indicated to be fictitious where there is an unlawful expenditure of state money with a preliminary calculation of hundreds of billions of rupiah,” he told reporters, Tuesday, May 21 2024.
However, Ali has not detailed the hundreds of billions in state losses in detail. The KPK is currently still collecting evidence to shed light on the case. The reason is, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) has begun investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods and services at the Telkom Group.
“The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) is collecting evidence to reveal corruption in the procurement of goods and services at the Telkom Group,” he explained.
Ali also emphasized that his party would immediately announce the suspect, case construction and the articles suspected in this case if they had found complete evidence.
“Gradually, we will provide information on the progress of the investigation process in this case to the public,” he concluded. (ATN)
