ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a state visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to discuss various efforts to increase cooperation in the economic and investment fields.
The President and a limited delegation departed via Halim Perdanakusuma TNI AU Base, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 16 2024.
President Jokowi explained that the United Arab Emirates is the first Middle Eastern country to have a partnership agreement with Indonesia, namely the Indonesia-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. This partnership is realized in cooperation in building the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant.
“Our partnership is, among other things, focused on cooperation in the field of clean energy, such as solar energy cooperation in the Cirata Reservoir,” he said.
In Abu Dhabi, President Jokowi is scheduled to meet with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, to discuss various efforts to increase cooperation between the two countries.
“In the meeting with President MBZ, I will, among other things, discuss various efforts to increase economic cooperation and strategic investment. “Of course, this collaboration will continue to be implemented by the new government in the future,” he concluded. (ATN)
