ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia determined the Reference Prices for Metal Minerals and Coal for October 2024, through Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 277.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2024 concerning Prices Reference Metal Minerals and Reference Coal Prices for October 2024.
The Ministerial Decree was signed on Thursday, 24 October 2024. In this Decree, the HBA for October for coal commodities is set at 6,322 kcal/kg GAR, total moisture 12.26%, total Sulfur 0.66%, and Ash 7.94% at US$131.17/ton.
“This figure is an increase from September’s HBA of US$125.15 per ton,” explained the Head of the Communications, Public Information Services and Cooperation Bureau, Agus Cahyono Adi, quoted on Saturday, October 26 2024.
Furthermore, the HBA is determined for the Coal I commodity, in the equivalent calorific value of 5,300 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32%, Total Sulfur 0.75%, and Ash 6.04%.
“HBA I is set at US$79.69 per ton,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the Reference Price for Coal II commodities in the equivalent calorific value of 4,100 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73%, Total Sulfur 0.23% and Ash 3.90% is set at US$52.41 per ton. The reference price for Coal III is the equivalent calorific value of 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 44.30%, Total Sulfur 0.24% and Ash 3.88%, at US$34.67 per ton.
Apart from the HBA, Minister Bahlil also set the HMA for various mineral commodities as a benchmark for August 2024. The HMA for Nickel is pegged at US$16,175.23/dmt. Then Cobalt US$ 24,105.00/dmt and Lead US$ 2,008.00/dmt.
The HMA for other metal mineral commodities is as follows:
– Zinc: US$2,796.11/dmt
– Aluminium: US$2,430.32/dmt
– Copper: US$9,093.91/dmt
– Gold as an associated mineral: US$2,522.18/troy ounce
– Silver as an associated mineral: US$29.39/troy ounce Pb 300
– Tin Ingot: settlement price ICDX and JFX on the day of sale Pb 200
