ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — NAMA Fund Indonesia, in collaboration with Rekanesia, successfully held the NAMA Fund Orientation Camp 2025, an intensive leadership and character development program for recipients of the NAMA Fund Indonesia Scholarship and the NAMA YTB Türkiye Scholarship (for Indonesian awardees pursuing further studies in Türkiye).
The program was conducted in two stages. The first in Jakarta from August 30 to September 1, 2025, and the second in Depok from October 4 to 5, 2025.
Carrying the theme “Grow Together, Impact Forever,” the camp aimed to prepare students for academic excellence while strengthening their integrity, collaboration, and commitment to social contribution.
“Leadership is not defined only by intellectual ability, but by the willingness to contribute to others,” said Shahir Tajuddin, representative of NAMA Foundation, during the opening ceremony. “This camp ensures that every scholarship recipient understands that responsibility.”

Developing Values and Purpose
The program began with Program Orientation and Learning Design sessions, introducing participants to the core values and expectations within the NAMA Fund scholarship framework. These sessions emphasized personal growth, academic readiness, and long-term civic engagement.
A key highlight of the camp was the Coaching and Group Coaching sessions, facilitated by professional coaches from Rekanesia, including Elis Nuraeni, Yessy Nur Handayani, and Ghina Aribah, and also Coach Muntaz, Coach Fakhri, Coach Silmi, Coach Tisa, and Coach Ufit. Through these sessions, students reflected on their personal motivations, identified strengths, and developed action plans for creating social impact.
“This space allows students to articulate not just what they want to achieve, but why and how they want to serve,” said coach Elis. “It’s a reflective process that formal education often overlooks.”
Academic Preparation and Commitment
The camp also featured a Campus Orientation segment to introduce scholars to diverse academic systems and learning cultures, both in Indonesia and abroad. The sessions encouraged adaptability, effective study habits, and cross-cultural communication.
In the evening, participants joined the Contract Signing Ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to uphold the program’s values and responsibilities.
“This is not merely a symbolic act,” said Junasa, NAMA Fund program coordinator. “It represents our belief that knowledge should always be returned to society in meaningful ways.”
Character Building Through Experience
To enhance teamwork and emotional intelligence, participants took part in a series of collaborative and reflective activities designed to foster empathy, resilience, and effective communication.
The camp concluded with a Reflection Session, where participants shared insights and personal commitments for their leadership journey ahead.
“The NAMA Fund Orientation Camp 2025 reaffirms our mission to nurture not only high-achieving students but also leaders of character who understand the value of contribution,” said Junasa, NAMA Fund program coordinator. (ATN)
