ASIATODAY.ID, ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed deep concern over the recent escalation of tensions in Yemen, urging all Yemeni parties to exercise wisdom, restraint, and immediately halt actions that risk further destabilizing the country and worsening the humanitarian crisis.
In an official statement Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Saturday, January 3,2026, the UAE emphasized that Yemen’s security and stability are vital not only for its people but also for the broader regional balance.
Abu Dhabi called on all stakeholders to prioritize dialogue over confrontation, stressing that political engagement remains the only viable path toward lasting peace.
“The differences among brotherly Yemeni parties must be resolved through understanding, consensus, and sustainable political solutions,” the statement said, underscoring the need for a rational and responsible approach that places national interests above short-term political calculations.
The UAE further highlighted that stability, security, and prosperity should remain the foremost priorities, noting that prolonged escalation only deepens suffering and undermines prospects for recovery and development.
Reaffirming its longstanding commitment to Yemen and regional stability, the UAE stressed that de-escalation and constructive dialogue offer the most effective means of overcoming the current crisis.
Such an approach, it said, would help pave the way for enduring peace and fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people and the wider region for security and prosperity.
The statement reinforces the UAE’s position as a key regional actor advocating diplomatic solutions amid an increasingly complex Middle Eastern geopolitical landscape. (AT Network)
