ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Responding to the Indonesian government’s strategic plan to expand the implementation of the B50 Biodiesel program across the national industrial sector, Bpfilters, a leading local filtration manufacturer, has officially introduced its latest diesel filter product line specifically engineered for B50-powered diesel engines and heavy equipment.

The launch of this innovative product line is scheduled to take place in Bogor in June 2026. Through this proactive move, Bpfilters aims to address growing concerns among industries such as mining, plantations, transportation, and construction regarding the technical challenges associated with higher biodiesel blends.

The adoption of B50 — a fuel blend containing 50% FAME/B100 — presents greater operational challenges compared to the previous B40 standard. Although more environmentally friendly, higher FAME content is known to be hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs water more easily, oxidizes faster, and accelerates sludge formation and microbial growth inside fuel tanks.

“Bpfilters is innovating to anticipate potential operational issues such as clogged filters, injector blockage, and reduced heavy equipment productivity,” said Bonny Pratama on May 25, 2026.

To address these challenges, Bpfilters has developed a dedicated B50 filtration design based on three key technologies: Increased Filtration Area, Multi-Stage Water Separation and Advanced Micron Rating Media.

The implementation of these technologies has proven capable of significantly extending filter lifespan, maintaining engine stability, and directly improving fuel efficiency through cleaner combustion.

The company stated that the product’s performance is not merely theoretical but has already been validated through real-world field applications. Based on operational data from B40 users, the efficiency gains achieved by Bpfilters products are substantially higher compared to conventional filters.

For trucks and buses, diesel filters that previously became clogged after approximately 5,000 kilometers were able to operate up to 20,000 kilometers after switching to Bpfilters products. Meanwhile, for heavy equipment, filter service intervals increased dramatically from around 250 operating hours to as much as 1,000 hours.

“With advanced filtration system applications, B50 biodiesel users no longer need to worry about productivity disruptions or engine performance issues,” Bonny added.

Bpfilters is not a newcomer in Indonesia’s biodiesel ecosystem. Since 2018, the local company has continuously developed filtration innovations, beginning from the B20 era and evolving alongside the country’s transition toward B50 implementation.

Today, Bpfilters has become a trusted partner for major companies operating in mining, plantations, transportation, and construction sectors — industries that rely heavily on the reliability and performance of diesel-powered machinery.

Through the launch of its dedicated B50 filter line, Bpfilters further strengthens its position as a pioneer in local filtration solutions, supporting Indonesia’s energy sovereignty agenda while helping industries maintain operational efficiency amid the transition to cleaner fuels.

Founded in Indonesia, Bpfilters specializes in advanced diesel filtration systems for heavy equipment and industrial diesel engines. Since 2018, the company has focused on developing innovative solutions to overcome biodiesel-related challenges and improve industrial productivity nationwide. (Silvia Andriani)
