76th Indian Republic Day: President Prabowo is Guest of Honor

ASIATODAY.ID, NEW DELHI – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto was the guest of honor at the 76th Indian Republic Day Celebration. The festive party was held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, Sunday, January 26 2025.

President Prabowo’s arrival at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Presidential Palace was welcomed by President Droupadi Murmu. The two leaders then boarded a horse-drawn carriage towards Kartavya Path along a road crowded with residents.

Once they arrived at Kartavya Path, President Prabowo and President Droupadi were welcomed by Indian PM Narendra Modi. Then, the three of them walked towards the podium of honor following the event procession.

India’s Republic Day Parade also features military and cultural contingents. The Indonesian contingent appeared with the Indonesian National Army (TNI) marching troops and the Canka Lokananta Suling Drum (GSCL) from the Military Academy.

The two groups amazed the audience with their unity and high fighting spirit. This is a symbol of national unity and professionalism of the Indonesian military.

GSCL also played the national song “Maju Tak Gentar” with a faster tempo and more enthusiasm. This appearance received praise and became a special attraction in the parade.

The parade also features cultural performances from around five thousand artists from all over India. With the theme ‘Jayati Jay Mum Bharatam’, they performed traditional dance and music.

The 2025 Indian Republic Day celebration is a historic momentum for Indonesia and India to further strengthen bilateral relations. Also strengthening strategic cooperation and establishing strong friendships in the future. (AT Network)
