ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has issued a travel ban against Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto, the President Director of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (Sritex), in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption involving bank loan disbursements to Sritex and its subsidiaries.
According to Harli Siregar, Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Center, the travel restriction has been in effect since May 19, 2025, and will remain valid for six months.
“Investigators need to examine Mr. Lukminto further to assess his role in the suspected bank loan corruption case,” Harli quoted on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
The AGO has scheduled a follow-up questioning session for Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto next week, as investigators seek more details on the loan application mechanisms used by Sritex in dealings with both state-owned and regional banks.
Iwan previously served as Deputy President Director of Sritex from 2014 to 2023 before assuming his current top position. He also held key roles in several Sritex subsidiaries, including: PT Sinar Pantja Djaja, PT Bitratex Industries and PT Primayudha Mandiri Jaya.
His strategic involvement in these companies makes him a key figure in the investigation by the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
Prosecutors are currently examining possible irregularities and corruption in the loan approval and usage processes involving PT Sritex and its affiliated companies. The investigation aims to determine Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto’s involvement, alongside three other suspects already named in the case. (AT Network)
