Indonesia Dukung DK PBB Hapus Hak Veto

ASIATODAY.ID, NEW YORK – Pada pertemuan Majelis Umum PBB sesi ke-74 dengan mata 122: “Question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council and other matters related to the Security Council” (25/11/2019), Indonesia menekankan bahwa Dewan Kemanan (DK) harus menjunjung tinggi hukum internasional dan prinsip-prinsip Piagam PBB.

“DK PBB harus lebih efektif, akuntabel, dan demokratis, serta mencerminkan realitas dunia kontemporer saat ini,” tegas Deputi Wakil Tetap RI, Duta Besar Mohammad K. Koba melalui keterangan tertulisnya yang diterima Selasa (26/11/2019).

Dubes Koba menyampaikan bahwa Indonesia mendukung upaya penghapusan hak veto dan langkah-langkah yang mengatur penggunaan hak veto.
