Switzerland Tourist Dies in Mount Rinjani Area

ASIATODAY.ID, MATARAM – A tourist from Switzerland named Melanie Bohner fell to her death while climbing Anak Dara Hill, in the Mount Rinjani area, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province.

“The victim fell into a ravine allegedly as a result of slipping while climbing Anak Dara Hill,” said Sembalun Sector Police Chief, AKP Wahyu Indrawan in Mataram, Saturday, June 1 2024.

Currently, the Search and Rescue Team is evacuating the victims.

The incident occurred when the victim and his colleague were climbing on Anak Dara Hill. The victim suddenly slipped and fell.

“It is suspected that the victim died because he slipped and fell into a ravine,” said Wahyu.

Due to this incident, Wahyu appealed to the public or tourists who are climbing to remain alert and careful, so that no incident occurs that could harm their own lives.
