ASIATODAY.ID, TANGERANG – The governments of Tangerang City and Yantai City, located in Shandong Province, east China, are starting to establish a sister city relationship.
This collaboration in various fields was marked by the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 24 2024.
Cooperation between the two cities covers the fields of business, industry and education.
Acting Mayor of Tangerang, Nurdin, hopes that this collaboration in the business sector can improve the business chain and supply chain to enter digital and global markets.
Cooperation in the industrial sector includes the development of environmentally friendly industries, while cooperation in the educational sector includes student exchanges.
The Mayor of Yantai, Zheng Deyan, hopes that this collaboration will further strengthen the strategic partnership that has existed between Indonesia and China, as well as being an opportunity to mutually promote the various potentials of the two cities and countries. (ATN)
