Form a Drone Army

General Agus Subiyanto carries the vision of TNI Prima (Professional, Responsive, Integrative, Modern and Adaptive) in order to build a TNI industry that has the resilience and fighting power to face and overcome all forms of threat of disruption and challenges that will endanger the integrity of the nation and state.

In the professional aspect, Agus plans to form a drone army.

“I will form a drone army by maximizing the technology of our defense industry. We will carry out transfer of technology, transfer of knowledge,” said Agus when conveying his vision while undergoing a fit and proper test with Commission I of the DPR, Monday, November 13 2023.

In order to realize this vision, Agus has a mission that has been set. There are at least five missions for Agus if he is elected TNI Commander.

First, maintaining and strengthening the professionalism of the TNI as a means of national defense.

Second, increasing responsive capabilities in facing developments in the strategic environment.

Third, strengthening the TNI’s integrative capabilities and synergy with police ministries and institutions and other components of the nation.

“Fourth, realizing accelerated modernization of defense equipment in accordance with developments in science and technology. Fifth, realizing a TNI that is adaptive to task demands and the spectrum of threats,” explained Agus.

Agus said that the use of the latest technology must continue to be carried out within the TNI.

Agus shared his experience during operations in East Timor. At that time, said Agus, the TNI was still using information to track the enemy’s whereabouts.

“If it’s not like that now, now the war is using drones,” said Agus.

“There are changes in using modern defense equipment, we have started there. Later we will organize it, we will see what kind of drone company, what kind of battalion, what kind of brigade, what kind of drone technology specs,” continued Agus .

Agus emphasized that a professional TNI means soldiers must be well trained and their weapons equipment must also be good. Agus wants to create a professional army that is adaptive to responding to changing times.

“Professionals make the TNI professional, meaning they have to be trained well so they are proficient at shooting, so they can maneuver well,” said Agus. (AT Network)
