Business Sweden will Develop Green Infrastructure in Bandung

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Global investment company from Sweden, Business Sweden is ready to develop green infrastructure in the city of Bandung, West Java.

Business Sweden has signed an MoU with the Regional Owned Enterprise PT Jasa Sarana regarding the development of green infrastructure. The signing of the MoU was carried out by the President Director of PT Jasa Sarana Indrawan Sumantri and the Swedish Trade Business Commissioner Erik Odar witnessed by the Head of the Bureau of Regional Owned Enterprises, Investment and Development Administration of the West Java Regional Secretariat, Lusi Lesminingwati at Ayana Mid Plaza, Jakarta, Friday, December 8 2023.

The understanding between the two parties which is part of this Indonesia-Sweden collaboration includes the development of facilities and infrastructure in the fields of transportation, energy, waste management and health.
Indrawan said that cooperation with Business Sweden on sustainable infrastructure facilities, such as important transportation, was established, especially for the Greater Bandung area.

“Population growth that continues to increase and on the other hand the imbalance in the growth of motorized vehicles and new infrastructure can cause transportation problems in the city of Bandung as the center of activity and economy in West Java,” he said in an official release, Sunday, December 10 2023.

For this reason, modern, effective and efficient transportation infrastructure is needed as a solution, namely Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

Jasa Sarana itself is involved in the development and operation plans for BRT, which is a bus-based mass transportation system that provides fast, comfortable and low-cost mobility.

“BRT aims and can help overcome transportation problems in Metropolitan Bandung Raya,” he said.

SISP is a multi-party dialogue platform to establish collaboration between Sweden and Indonesia to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
