ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has officially determined the Reference Coal Price (HBA) for April 2024, which was set on April 22 2024.
“The HBA for April is used as a basis for calculating the Coal Benchmark Price (HPB),” said Head of the Bureau of Communications, Public Information Services and Cooperation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Agus Cahyono Adi in Jakarta, quoted Tuesday, April 23 2024.
In the latest regulations, HBA in the equivalent calorific value of 6,322 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 12.26%, total sulfur 0.66%, and Ash 7.94 is set at US$121.13 per ton.
Furthermore, the HBA is determined for coal commodity I, in the equivalent calorific value of 5,300 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32%, Total Sulfur 0.75%, and Ash 6.04%.
“HBA I is set at US$86.93 per ton,” said Agus.
The Reference Price for Coal II commodities in terms of the calorific value equivalent of 4,100 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73%, Total Sulfur 0.23% and Ash 3.90% is set at US$57.17 per ton.
Finally, the Minister also set a reference price for Coal III, in the equivalent calorific value of 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 44.30%, Total Sulfur 0.24% and Ash 3.88%, at US$36.32 per ton.
“In addition to determining the HBA, the Reference Metal Mineral Price (HMA) is also set for April 2024. The HMA for nickel commodities is set at US$17,424.52/dmt. Furthermore, cobalt is set at US$28,220.00/dmt,” continued Agus.
The HMA for other metal mineral commodities is as follows.
– Lead: US$2,089.40/dmt
– Zinc: US$2,433.93/dmt
– Aluminum: US$2,187.05/dmt
– Copper: US$8,544.57/dmt
– Gold as an associated mineral: US$2,102.25/troy ounce
– Silver as an associated mineral: US$23.68/troy ounce
