The Maximum Hot Temperature in Indonesia Will Reach 36 Degrees Celsius

Hot Temperature in Aceh. Doc

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that in the next week almost all regions in Indonesia will be hit by maximum daily hot temperatures of up to 36 degrees Celsius.

The BMKG Public Meteorology Center Team in Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 11 2024, said that in the last two days maximum hot temperatures had begun to hit a number of areas starting from North Sumatra, Aceh, East Java and Bali.

Based on the results of analysis by a team of BMKG meteorologists on Tuesday, June 11 afternoon, the hottest temperature in the Aceh region reached 36.6 degrees Celsius and North Sumatra 35.9 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, the meteorological team also analyzed that maximum hot temperatures of 34.8 – 34.0 degrees Celsius hit most areas in West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Banten, South Sumatra, East Java and Bali.

The BMKG meteorological team confirmed that in general the maximum hot temperature during the day was caused by the apparent movement of the sun at its closest distance to the equator.

This phenomenon also indicates that the dry season is starting to hit Indonesia, which as previously predicted will last June – September 2024.

To reduce the impact of hot temperatures, BMKG urges the public to consume sufficient and regular mineral water to avoid dehydration, especially when doing outdoor activities. Then use protection such as a hat or umbrella to protect your head and upper body, sunglasses to protect your eyes, and sunscreen to protect your skin from exposure to ultra violet (UV) rays. (ATN)
