ASIATODAY.ID, BALI – The 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) meeting has ended on Tuesday, September 3 2024.
From this meeting, Indonesia succeeded in recording 32 business collaborations with a total value of more than US$3.5 billion.
During the two days of the 2nd IAF meeting, several important achievements were agreed upon, including the signing of 4 business agreements in the strategic industrial sector, 9 health business sectors, and 6 new and renewable energy business sectors.
“The 2nd IAF is not only an opportunity for State-Owned Enterprises and Private Companies to achieve potential business collaboration, but also involves Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to collaborate together,” said the Director for Africa at the Ministry’s Directorate General for Asia, Pacific and Africa. This can be seen from the achievement of 16 business agreements between Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises and companies from Africa in an exhibition that lasted for two days and received visits from five leaders of African countries.
“This is what makes this forum more inclusive,” said Dewi, quoted from a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for development cooperation in Africa was also signed on the sidelines of the 2nd IAF event.
The 2nd IAF also succeeded in strengthening economic and business cooperation between Indonesia and Africa, opening up new opportunities for growth and progress in both regions. (AT Network)
