ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Commander of the Indonesian National Army (TNI), General Agus Subiyanto, said that 36 heads of state would attend the inauguration of Indonesia’s new president and vice president, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, on Sunday, October 18 2024.
General Agus conveyed this when leading a roll call for security forces for the inauguration of the Indonesian president and vice president, at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta.
“This inauguration will be attended by 36 heads of state or heads of government from friendly countries,” he said, Friday, October 18 2024.
He emphasized that the inauguration event was very important for the continuation of Indonesia’s democracy and sovereignty.
He also ordered all TNI soldiers involved in security to cooperate both internally and externally.
“Coordination in carrying out tasks with all related units and agencies to realize synchronization of this activity. That is what I convey,” he concluded.
For information, the TNI deployed 100,000 personnel to guard the inauguration series of Indonesia’s new president and vice president. The troops consist of the Jakarta Regional Security Task Force, the Presidential Security Force, the Special Forces Task Force, the Air, Marine, Cyber and Intelligence Task Forces. (AT Network)
