ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo recorded business revenues until the third quarter of 2024 of IDR 23.5 trillion or an increase of 4% on an annual basis (year on year/yoy).

Pelindo President Director, Arif Suhartono said that this achievement was in line with positive growth in operational performance in all Pelindo Group business lines until the end of Quarter III-2024.

“The increase in operational performance in all Pelindo business segments shows that Pelindo’s operational standardization and digitalization efforts have succeeded in serving the increase in the flow of goods that has occurred. “This standardization is carried out in an integrated manner with stakeholders and service users which has an impact on reducing port stays at ports,” said Arif, quoted Thursday, November 7 2024.

The total flow of non-container goods reached 146 million tons in the third quarter of 2024, growing 16% compared to the same period last year. Total container flows also grew by 7% to 13.8 million TEU.

Apart from that, Pelindo also recorded an increase in the flow of ships and passengers. Ship flows increased by 11% or 1.04 billion GT. The same thing happened to passenger flow which also increased by 9% or by 14.7 million people in the same period last year.

“This positive achievement does not necessarily make us complacent. The uncertain external situation has encouraged Pelindo to remain focused on maintaining this growth momentum until the end of 2024,” concluded Arif. (AT Network)
