“Without active participation from the economic sector, we cannot achieve growth and prosperity,” said President Prabowo.

Furthermore, President Prabowo described the Asia Pacific region as the most dynamic region in the world with great potential in technology, demographics and natural resources. Despite being faced with geopolitical tensions, Prabowo is optimistic that the leaders of the world’s major powers will ultimately choose the common good.

“Extraordinary technological breakthroughs require leaders to be wiser, more patient, more accommodating, because the power of technology can bring significant progress to human life, but the power of technology can also destroy human life very quickly,” said President Prabowo.

President Prabowo also explained Indonesia’s policy to achieve green energy self-sufficiency. According to President Prabowo, Indonesia has large renewable energy potential, including the largest geothermal potential in the world, and is determined to become an independent country in renewable energy in the next few years.

“We can replace fossil fuels with renewable energy. We have the largest geothermal potential. “I think 60 percent of the world’s geothermal energy potential is in Indonesia,” said the President.

On this occasion, President Prabowo also outlined the potential for cooperation with Peru, and described Indonesia as a country that has succeeded in maintaining economic growth despite the COVID-19 pandemic. With an inflation rate of 2 percent, Indonesia continues to promote economic stability and open wider opportunities for foreign investors.

President Prabowo also explained reforms in the health and education sectors, including opening the door for foreign universities and hospitals to operate in Indonesia. President Prabowo revealed that Indonesia will expand special economic zones to attract advanced technology and investment in the maritime and fisheries industries.

“We have three-quarters of the national territory in the form of waters with great potential for fisheries, aquaculture and processing industries. “We are determined to carry out industrialization by downstreaming resources, processing our resources,” said Prabowo.

Concluding his speech, President Prabowo invited business people in the Asia Pacific region to invest in Indonesia and work together in creating shared prosperity. He emphasized that peace can only be achieved through understanding, which emerges from engagement and negotiation.

“Indonesia is open to more businesses. “I am determined to protect all investments to provide favorable economic conditions and be involved in major world economic organizations to create shared prosperity,” said the President. (AT Network)
