AirAsia Airlines. Doc

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – AirAsia airline will open the Bali – Darwin flight route starting March 22 2025.

President Director of Indonesia AirAsia Veranita Yosephine said the Denpasar – Darwin international route will operate three times a week starting March 22 2025.

“Bali is now our largest hub in terms of flight capacity following high demand. “We not only see great demand for travel routes to and from Bali, which remains a favorite for Australian tourists, but also for connecting flight services (transit) to more than 130 destinations in Asia and beyond through the AirAsia Group’s extensive network,” said Veranita in an official statement, Wednesday, January 8 2025.

Vera explained that passengers can also choose AirAsia’s Fly Thru service to fly from Darwin to Phuket via Bali and arrive on the same day. Passengers can also choose to spend a few days in Bali before continuing on to their next destination such as Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Komodo Airport Labuan Bajo (Komodo Island), Singapore, Phuket, and more.

He claimed that residents of the northern territory had long wanted more flight options to Bali, and his party was happy to be able to make this happen with the return of AirAsia.

“Bali has long been the number one holiday destination for Darwinians, and these flights will trigger a surge in tourists starting their adventures in Indonesia,” he said.

With a flight schedule three times a week, AirAsia provides more than 1,000 seats for visitors every week via Darwin Airport. (AT Network)
