ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM), a state-owned mining company under the MIND ID holding, has officially appointed Achmad Ardianto as its new President Director, succeeding Nicolas D. Kanter. This strategic decision was finalized during the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) held on Tuesday, June 12, 2025.

Achmad Ardianto is no stranger to ANTAM. Before stepping into the top leadership role, he served as ANTAM’s Director of Human Resources. He is widely recognized as a seasoned professional with an extensive track record in the mining industry and corporate governance.

Born 54 years ago, Ardianto graduated with a degree in Mining Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1995. He earned his MBA from TSM Business School – Twente University, Netherlands, in 2005 and completed an executive program in Advanced Human Resources at Ross Business School – University of Michigan in 2012.

Ardianto’s appointment coincides with a broader reshuffling of ANTAM’s management structure. In addition to naming Ardianto as President Director, the company introduced Handi Sutanto as the new Commercial Director—an entirely new position aimed at strengthening ANTAM’s business operations. Ratih Amri was appointed as Director of Human Resources, filling Ardianto’s previous role.

This restructuring is seen as a pivotal step in reinforcing ANTAM’s strategic role in advancing Indonesia’s mineral downstream industry and promoting economic independence based on natural resources.
