ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Halal Indo 2025 x Industrial Festival officially concluded on Sunday, September 28 with remarkable achievements, securing IDR 7.2 trillion (approx. USD 445 million) in investment commitments from international partners, including China and Kyrgyzstan.

Held from September 25–28, 2025, the festival served as a strategic platform to strengthen Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem by bringing together government, industry players, academics, and the general public. The event featured a wide range of activities, including exhibitions of domestic products, pavilions from strategic partner countries, workshops, business matching sessions, halal certification facilitation, on-site public services, talk shows, and live performances.

“Halal Indo 2025 x Industrial Festival is an important milestone showcasing the readiness of Indonesia’s halal industry to grow and compete globally. This event has also opened new avenues for international cooperation,” said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta on Monday, September 29, 2025.

This year’s exhibition attracted 346 participants, up 14.6% from last year’s 302. Visitor numbers surged dramatically to 27,000, marking a 230% increase compared to 12,000 in 2024.

Business transactions also reached a new record of IDR 7.7 billion, nearly five times higher than last year’s IDR 1.3 billion.

Most notably, potential investment commitments totaled IDR 7.2 trillion, representing a 20% increase from IDR 6 trillion in 2024. These commitments cover the development of halal industry infrastructure, halal industrial zones, and global promotional initiatives.

Strengthening International Partnerships

Several key agreements were signed during the event, underscoring Indonesia’s growing role in the global halal economy:

Indonesia–China: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Halal Industry Development with FDSA China.

Indonesia–Kyrgyzstan: Record of Discussion (RoD) on Halal Industry Development with the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“The Memorandums of Understanding reached during this festival demonstrate strong international confidence in Indonesia’s halal industry. We expect these commitments to further strengthen the industry’s contribution to national economic growth,” Minister Agus emphasized.

In addition, the Halal Industry Center of the Ministry of Industry established partnerships with several Halal Inspection Bodies (LPH) to expand halal certification facilitation, particularly for small industries, enabling them to comply with mandatory halal certification requirements and access wider markets.

High Enthusiasm Reflects Strong Outlook

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry, Eko S. A. Cahyanto, highlighted the strong enthusiasm of visitors as a clear sign of optimism for the future of Indonesia’s halal industry.

“The synergy between government, industry players, communities, and stakeholders is essential to building a strong and inclusive national halal industry,” he said.

The successful conclusion of Halal Indo 2025 x Industrial Festival reaffirms the Ministry of Industry’s commitment to strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s halal sector, ensuring the follow-up of agreements reached, and expanding the industry’s presence in global markets. (AT Network)
