212 Reunion Declares a “Great War” Against the Crime of Corruption in Indonesia

. Shobbarin Syakur, Chairman of the Lajnah Tanfidziyah Majelis Mujahidin. Special

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — Ahead of the massive 212 Reunion on December 2, 2025, the voices of Indonesia’s Muslim community are rising once again. This year, the event is not merely a spiritual gathering — it has evolved into a nationwide call to launch a decisive war against corruption, a crime activists say has been rotting Indonesia from the inside.

M. Shobbarin Syakur, Chairman of the Lajnah Tanfidziyah Majelis Mujahidin, stressed that corruption has become “the nation’s greatest criminal,” demanding that the 212 Reunion stand as a moral movement bold enough to challenge the government, law-enforcement institutions, and political elites to cleanse the country without compromise.

“Brotherhood is good, but today we need real impact. And the greatest impact is demanding a firm, transparent, and uncompromising war on corruption,” he declared on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Public Support Must Come with Oversight — Not Silence

Shobbarin acknowledged President Prabowo Subianto’s call for public support in fighting corruption. However, he emphasized that support does not mean passive acceptance.

“The President asks for support. We will echo that. But public support also means strict public oversight,” he said firmly.

He reiterated that Majelis Mujahidin is ready to act as a moral force and a watchdog for the people, ensuring that the fight against corruption does not dissolve into political slogans.

212 Participants Urged to Stay Orderly — But Fearless

As participants prepared to depart from Solo, Shobbarin reminded them to maintain discipline and noble conduct. But he insisted that orderliness must not silence the people’s courage.

“Obey the rules, uphold good morals. But never stop speaking out. Corruption cannot be defeated by silence,” he asserted.

Two buses filled with participants were scheduled to depart from Solo for Jakarta. Shobbarin himself will not attend due to commitments in Padang.

Moral Revolution = Anti-Corruption Revolution

This year’s 212 Reunion carries the theme: “Moral Revolution to Save Indonesia from Criminals and Free Palestine from Oppression.”

According to Reunion spokesperson Aziz Yanuar, the spirit of moral revolution aligns perfectly with the war against corruption.

“Criminals are not only foreign occupiers. Criminals are also corrupt officials who steal from the people,” he stated.

Aziz emphasized that the 212 spirit must send a clear and forceful signal to national leaders: the people demand clean, just, and pro-public governance.

Message from Monas: Corruptors Will No Longer Be Safe

The 2025 Reunion is expected to become one of the largest moral demonstrations, unifying the public’s demand to end the long-standing plague of corruption.

The event will feature prayers, sermons, and national speeches. But more importantly, the crowd intends to deliver one powerful message from the heart of Jakarta:

“Corruptors are enemies of the nation. And we will keep watching.”

The 212 Reunion is expected to ignite a new wave of public mobilization — a renewed people’s movement in Indonesia’s great war against corruption. (Silvia Andriani)
