Thanks to the great enthusiasm of various automotive industry activists, this exhibition was expanded to 11 halls with a total of 120,000 m2. With the largest exhibition area and the largest number of participating brands reaching more than 55 brands, GIIAS displays a variety of the latest products ranging from petrol-based vehicle models to EVs.

So far, the Indonesian Government has issued a number of incentives to accelerate investment and implementation of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles (KBLBB), one of which is the PPnBM incentive for 4-wheeled KBLBB. Apart from that, Minister Airlangga also mentioned that incentives for hybrid cars are being prepared.

While inspecting the exhibition area, Airlangga also had the opportunity to directly witness the biggest sales transaction of GIIAS 2024 worth around IDR 30 billion which was successfully achieved by Wuling.

Through GIIAS, the automotive industry has space to continue to showcase its superior products and innovate with the latest technology. Apart from that, GIIAS also displays various vehicles that contain up to 80% domestic components. (ATN)
