Carmelita said that it is hoped that this new responsibility can help bring Indonesian shipping to the world stage.

“INSA is grateful for the support and trust of ASEAN countries, especially FASA members, and hopefully this trust can bring the world of Indonesian shipping to greater international recognition,” said Carmelita in her official statement, Thursday, November 23 2023.

Meanwhile, at the meeting in Brunei Darussalam, Carmelita said that INSA was actively involved in providing views on the importance of regional cooperation in facing the challenges and opportunities of the shipping industry in Southeast Asia which is quite dynamic.

Carmelita believes that this meeting will be the door to innovation in the shipping industry. This is because the meeting is a means of communication and sharing best practices among FASA members regarding shipping in their respective countries.

Meanwhile, INSA General Secretary Budhi Halim said that this meeting reflected INSA’s commitment to making a positive contribution to shipping in the ASEAN region.

As a member of FASA, INSA plays an active role and participates in initiating concrete steps to improve the performance and growth of the shipping industry at the regional level.

“INSA’s active role at this meeting has made Indonesia play an increasingly important role in ASEAN regional shipping,” said Budhi. (AT Network)
