In the discussion session on the digital economy and start-ups, Deputy Edi said that expanding collaboration between Indonesia and Japan is the key to mutually enhancing the advantages of each country in the economic sector, especially through the Japan and Indonesia Fast Pitch Track program.
“Japan is a tomodachi, a trade friend of Indonesia. We appreciate Japan’s initiative to establish several new collaborations, especially in the digital economy sector by developing Artificial Intelligence,” said Deputy Edi.

“With the continuation of industrial cooperation projects between Indonesia and Japan with the principle of green economy under AZEC, we hope that the relationship between the two countries can run more comprehensively,” said Vice Minister Matsuo.
Indonesia and Japan shared perspectives and reaffirmed the AZEC policy and the “Action Plan for the Next Decade.” Private sector participants from Japan presented demonstration projects as initiatives for industrial area decarbonization and their vision, which contribute to Indonesia’s net zero emission target. Indonesian private sector participants shared their policies and projects in downstreaming critical minerals to support the New and Renewable Energy Industry.
Both parties welcomed the progress of projects in the Japanese and Indonesian private sectors and affirmed their continued cooperation for concrete projects under AZEC.
