Puan said, according to the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, one of the goals of Indonesian independence was to create world order and peace. Therefore, Israeli military attacks against the Palestinian people are unacceptable.

Moreover, Indonesia since the reign of President Soekarno has consistently supported Palestinian independence.

Puan called on the Government together with other international organizations to continue to play an active role in fighting for the independence of the Palestinian people.

“Never stop and always urge Israel to stop military aggression against the Palestinian people and nation,” he said.

Indonesia Will Continue to Support Palestine

Puan also asked the public to be enthusiastic about providing moral and material assistance to Palestine.

“Wherever we are, we must still give our prayers and struggle to the Palestinian people and nation.”

At the end of her oration, Puan emphasized again that the Indonesian people will always support Palestine.

“The Indonesian people will always provide support to the Palestinian nation and people until the Palestinian people and nation are independent!”

Call for United Islamic Countries

The 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla also attended the action. In his speech, he called on the people to unite to stop violence in Palestine.

“This morning we are all concerned, we are all angry about what we saw, what we witnessed, what happened, therefore let us all unite, at least pray, help and fight for independence and stop all the crimes that destroy and massacre- magnitude in Palestine,” he said.

He also asked the entire nation to unite to urge Israel to stop its attacks on Palestine. Especially Islamic countries in the Middle East.

“That’s why we are all united here, as well as Islamic countries in the Middle East in Arabia to unite together,” he continued.

He also urged the United States to urge Israel to end its attacks on Palestine. In this way, Israel realized that its actions were very inhumane.

“Let us also call on the United States to stop its support for Israel, and Israel will be aware of humanity. Let us all unite,” he said.

“We are all here praying, hopefully all this will end. We will achieve all peace, and all return to the independence we aspire to. Thank you. Allahuakbar!”
