ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia continues to expand cooperative relations with the Nordic countries.
Indonesian Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, said that Indonesia’s relations with the Nordic countries have been around for a long time, more than 70 years ago. This good relationship has a broad impact on other countries in the world.
“This relationship is very important and relevant, especially in facing major global problems whose impacts are felt all over the world, especially climate change,” said Sri Mulyani, Friday, February 23 2024.
Sri Mulyani also explained the various collaborations in question. With Sweden, Indonesia has signed two collaborations related to energy and demand in various fields in 2023.
With Denmark, Indonesia has signed an agreement regarding food and waste management in 2023. This year, cooperation in the maritime sector has also been approved.
“Denmark’s support for Indonesia’s energy transition mechanism initiative is also very positive,” said Sri Mulyani.
With Finland, Indonesia has held a meeting related to Smart Energy. In addition, together with the Minister of Finance of Finland, he is the Co-chair of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Change. Meanwhile, with Norway, Indonesia has a joint commitment to the Just Energy Transition Partnership.
In addition, with Norwegian support, the Indonesian Environmental Fund Management Agency has prepared Forest and Land Use Management (FOLU) to realize Indonesia’s vision of fighting pollution and land degradation.
“All of these interactions are a good manifestation of our role in global society. This interaction is not only at the government and business level, but also in cultural and human relations. I hope this good cooperation will continue throughout the generations. Now and later. “You have scale tactics!” concluded Sri Mulyani. (AT Network)
