Indonesia Calls for Dialogue — President Prabowo Offers Direct Mediation

The Indonesian government expressed deep concern over the military confrontation involving Israel and the United States against Iran.

In an official statement posted on X, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia voiced regret over the collapse of diplomatic negotiations.

“Indonesia deeply regrets the failure of negotiations between the United States and Iran, which has resulted in military escalation in the Middle East. Indonesia calls on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue and diplomacy.”

President Prabowo Subianto went further, expressing readiness to personally facilitate dialogue between the conflicting sides.

If agreed upon by both parties, President Prabowo is prepared to travel to Tehran to mediate in an effort to de-escalate tensions.

Rising Risks to Regional and Global Stability

The Indonesian government reiterated that protecting its citizens abroad remains a top priority.

Indonesians in affected areas are urged to:

– Stay calm
– Increase vigilance
– Follow local authority instructions
– Maintain communication with Indonesian diplomatic missions

The unfolding crisis carries potential implications for international air routes, global oil markets, and broader regional security.

The conflict has not yet expanded further — but tensions are mounting rapidly.

For thousands of Indonesians in Saudi Arabia, vigilance is no longer optional. It is essential. (AT Network)
