The consideration for increasing DCA’s status to a legally binding agreement is based on the increasing intensity of military cooperation activities between the two countries over the last 10 years, especially in the fields of education and training.
One example is sending TNI cadets to study at the Australian Defense Forces Academy (ADFA) and The Royal Military College, Duntroon, plans for a Joint UN Mission between the TNI and ADF, as well as increasing the intensity of joint training, both between units and a combination of the three second units. country.
The Ministry of Defense together with Indonesian Ministries and Institutions have held coordination meetings more than 30 times since March 2023, both online and offline, in preparing the text of this agreement.
