ASIATODAY.ID, BEIJING – The bilateral meeting between the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and Chinese President Xi Jinping resulted in a number of strategic work agreements between the two countries.
The two leaders of the country also witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements between Indonesia and China at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, China, Saturday, November 9 2024.
The cooperation agreement between Indonesia and China that was signed is:
- Phytosanitary Requirements Protocol for Export of Fresh Coconut Fruit from Indonesia to China;
- Technical Work Guidelines for Promoting Sustainable Capture Fisheries;
- Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on Strengthening Blue Economy Cooperation;
- Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on Mineral Resources Cooperation;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Green Mineral Cooperation;
- Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Water Resources; and
- Memorandum of Understanding on Conformity Assessment Cooperation.
Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that China was a strategic economic partner and Indonesia’s largest investor.
“I think this is a very important milestone in our relationship. More than a decade of comprehensive strategic partnership,” Prabowo said during a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People, Saturday.
Meanwhile, President Xi Jinping said that Indonesia-China friendship was getting closer and the two countries always supported each other. Xi also stated that he was ready for mutually beneficial cooperation with the new Indonesian government under the leadership of Prabowo Subianto.
“Mutual benefit among major developing countries, and shows the China-Indonesia community has regional and global influence,” said President Xi. (AT Network)
