ASIATODAY.ID, RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s global industrial leadership reached a new milestone as the Kingdom’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, was unanimously elected President of the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO GC21).
The election took place during the opening session in Riyadh, underscoring growing international confidence in Saudi Arabia’s role in shaping the global industrial development agenda.
The decision was confirmed through a formal vote by UNIDO member states. Outgoing President Debora Lepre announced the result to delegates, stating: “Distinguished delegates, I am pleased to declare the unanimous election — by acclamation — of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bandar Alkhorayef as President of the 21st General Conference.”
