ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The concert by British rock band Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) in Jakarta on Friday, November 10 2023, was marked by chaos.
The first day of the concert which was held at Beach City International Stadium Ancol had to be stopped by the organizers Ravel Entertainment after 45 minutes of the concert.
After performing the song “Die4U”, Oliver Sykes, the vocalist of BMTH, left the stage and did not return to the stage.
After waiting for approximately 30 minutes, the concert goers were shocked by the organizers’ announcement that the BMTH concert had finished.
The organizers only said that the BMTH concert was stopped because there was a problem on the stage.
This announcement made many viewers angry and the BMTH concert became chaotic. Various posts about the conditions at the concert location were widely circulating on the social media platform X, aka Twitter, where many spectators forced their way onto the stage.
The situation became increasingly chaotic and chaotic, with disappointed spectators still remaining at the concert location while shouting for Ravel Entertainment to return their funds.
Second Day Concert Canceled
Due to this incident, the second day of the BMTH concert was canceled. The concert was originally going to be held at Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, North Jakarta, on Saturday (11/11/2023).
The news of the cancellation was confirmed by Ravel Junardy as the representative of promoter Ravel Entertainment. He stated that BMTH’s second day’s performance was canceled after the first day’s concert on Friday (10/11) and then stopped in the middle of the set.
“I, Ravel Junardy, as the promoter of Ravel Entertainment would like to clarify and apologize profusely for the lack of a set list of main performers on the first day of the show due to technical problems,” wrote the @ravelentertainment account via Instagram, Saturday (11/11/2023).
“And with great regret, we inform you that the second day of the show had to be cancelled,” he continued.
The promoter stated that he would be responsible for cancellations of the second day as well as first day shows that stopped mid-set.
In an official statement, Ravel Entertainment stated that it would refund spectators’ tickets for the second day in full. Meanwhile, first day viewers will receive a refund according to the proportion.
The promoter also explained that the details and refund mechanism will be provided further information via Ravel Entertainment’s social media.
“As a form of accountability, Ravel Entertainment will provide a proportional refund for the first day and a full refund for the second day,” wrote the statement.
“We will provide details of the refund mechanism on Ravel Entertainment’s official social media,” he continued.
Sold Out Concert Tickets
The Bring Me The Horizon concert actually received an extraordinary response from Indonesian metalheads. Tickets for the concert sold out in an instant.
The announcement that tickets were sold out was actually greeted with requests from a number of fans to add more days to the Bring Me The Horizon concert in Indonesia.
Promoter Ravel Entertainment also officially gave the good news.
“Thank you for the extraordinary interest so that Bring Me The Horizon concert tickets sold out in just 1 hour,” said Ravel Junardy, CEO of Ravel Entertainment in a written statement, Wednesday (23/8/2023).
“We as promoters have finally decided to give another opportunity for metalheads who want to see Bring Me The Horizon by adding 1 more day to their concert schedule.”
Apart from that, the promoter also said that Saosin would be the opening act at the Bring Me The Horizon concert.
