Thousands of Italian Cruise Ship Tourists, AIDAbella Enter Surabaya and Lombok

ASIATODAY.ID, SURABAYA – The cruise ship from Italy, AIDAbella, which carries more than two thousand foreign tourists, docked at Jamrud Utara Pier, Tanjung Perak Harbor, Surabaya, Tuesday, January 30 2024.

These cruise ship tourists come to the city of Surabaya to enjoy various interesting tourist attractions ranging from City Hall, Heroes Monument, Joko Dolog, Trowulan Majapahit, Tretes, and several other spots.

According to General Manager of Kalimas Terminal and Gapura Surya Nusantara (GSN) Dhany Rachmad Agustian, cruise ship visits to Indonesia are increasing every year.

“In 2024, we estimate that there will be 82 cruise ships throughout Indonesia. “Of course this is encouraging for the Indonesian tourism sector,” said Dhany.

It is said that foreign tourist visits to Indonesia have increased significantly, reaching 75%.

“As many as 21,000 foreign tourists will enter Surabaya in 2024,” said Dhany.

After circling the city of Surabaya, the AIDAbella cruise ship then continued its journey to Selamat Harbor, West Lombok or commonly known as Komodo Island. (AT Network)
