UAE Welcomes Investment Offers in 8 SEZs and 5 Indonesian DSPs

ASIATODAY.ID, DUBAI – Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno met with Dr Adil Alzarooni, Chair of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Entrepreneurship and Educator Team in the fields of economic zone development, family business sustainability and education.

On that occasion, Sandiaga Uno offered a number of strategic investment opportunities in 8 Special Economic Zones for the Tourism and Creative Economy Sector, such as KEK Mandalika in Central Lombok, KEK Tanjung Kelayang in Belitung, KEK Likupang in North Minahasa, KEK Tanjung Lesung in Pandeglang, KEK Nongsa in Batam, KEK Lido in Bogor, KEK Singhasari in Malang, and KEK Morotai in the Morotai Islands.

And also investment offers in 5 Super Priority Destinations, including Borobudur, Lake Toba, Likupang, Mandalika and Labuan Bajo.

“During the meeting we also offered Dr Adil Alzarooni to invest in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), including Investment Projects Ready to Offer (IPRO) in Aceh and Bali,” said Sandiaga Uno.

He said the investment offer was very promising, considering that the number of tourist visits from the UAE to Indonesia continues to increase.

Referring to data, realization of investment in the tourism sector from the UAE to Indonesia in 2023 will reach $3.1 million. Sandiaga said this number would increase by 429 percent compared to 2022.

“What Indonesia needs is not just investment, but also creating a good investment ecosystem, especially with the private sector. That’s why we continue to encourage the involvement of the private sector through Public Private Partnerships (PPP) in accelerating development,” said Sandiaga Uno.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy hopes that the influx of investors can encourage the acceleration of development and open up as many job opportunities as possible.

The investment offer made by Minister Sandiaga was also welcomed by Dr Adil Alzarooni. The man who has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of executive management, investment, sales, logistics, IT security and economic zone development is enthusiastic about coming to Indonesia.

“This offer is very attractive, and I can’t wait to make it happen,” said Dr Adil Alzarooni.

“We are ready to help create a private sector, especially in KEK. Pray for me to come to Indonesia soon,” he said.

After meeting with Dr Adil Alzarooni, Sandiaga then met with the Chairman of Ayana Holding, Abdullah Lahej at Ayana Holding, Al Karama, Dubai, UAE.

Sandiaga also met with the Director General of Dubai Travelers Festival UAE, Awad Bin Mohammad Bin Sheikh Mugrin in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE. (AT Network)
