President Prabowo’s visit to Russia also included his participation as a guest of honor at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025. In the bilateral meeting, he extended his gratitude to President Putin for Russia’s full support for Indonesia’s recent membership in BRICS.

“I truly appreciate Russia’s swift and full support for Indonesia’s membership in BRICS. I intended to attend the BRICS Summit in Kazan, but I had just been inaugurated and needed to appoint my cabinet,” President Prabowo explained.
