ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has released a number of independent institutions that have been registered and certified to be involved in the quick count process of the 2024 Indonesian Election results.
The KPU stated that based on data up to February 6 2024, there were 83 institutions that had applied for registration as institutions for surveys, opinion polls and quick calculations of the 2024 election results.
“Of the 83 institutions that applied for registration, 81 institutions have registered status (registered certificates have been issued) and two institutions are currently making improvements/complete the documents,” said the KPU in a press statement received, Monday, February 12 2024.
The certification process for survey institutions is in accordance with Article 448 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections.
Survey institutions that registered for the first time were recorded on August 21 2023 or 5 days after KPU Decree Number 1035 of 2023 was issued.
