ASIATODAY.ID, KUALA LUMPUR – The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) co-organise the Launch of the 25th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-25) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) together with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) of Malaysia as the Host.

AEBF-25 will serve as a platform to strengthen regional cooperation and mobilise partnerships that accelerate ASEAN’s energy transformation. Scheduled for 15 to 17 October 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the forum will convene energy ministers from all 10 ASEAN Member States (AMS), global industry leaders, and over 1,500 delegates to accelerate the region’s transition to an interconnected, sustainable energy ecosystem.

AEBF-25 brings the theme “Powering ASEAN: Bridging Boundaries, Building Prosperity” to underscore the region’s clean energy transition and economic integration goals, highlighting the theme of ASEAN Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 on Energy.

YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister II & Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), Malaysia, highlighted the critical role of the forum in overcoming ASEAN’s energy challenges during the launching event.

“AEBF-25 is a dedicated platform to foster critical dialogues. It is not just a conference, it is a marketplace of ideas, a platform for partnership, and a catalyst for innovation. As ASEAN Chair in 2025, Malaysia is committed to ensuring that AEBF 2025 will be inclusive, forward-looking, and action oriented,” he said, August 4, 2025.

Dato’ Ir. Ts. Razib Dawood, Executive Director of ACE, reiterated the statement.

“This forum brings together the greatest minds in energy—from ASEAN and beyond—to ensure that our transition is not only sustainable but also just and inclusive. As ASEAN becomes the world’s fifth largest economy, energy demand will keep rising, and we must tackle it with ambition, innovation, and cooperation. AEBF as the international conference and exhibition will embody that unity as a forum that enables exchange, collaboration, and investment in support of ASEAN’s energy aspirations. The Centre stands ready to continue supporting ASEAN’s collective efforts in advancing regional cooperation, accelerating sustainable development, and ensuring energy security across the region,” he said.

AEBF-25 will include policy dialogues, business-to-business networking, high-level roundtables, and exhibitions around the topics of ASEAN Power Grid (APG), Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), energy efficiency for buildings, financing and investment and many more.

Building on the success of last year’s business forum, AEBF-25 will give the opportunity for key stakeholders in ASEAN’s energy sector to connect and collaborate on advancing regional energy priorities, mobilise investments, and accelerate the transition toward a sustainable, secure, and inclusive energy future.

ACE and PETRA have extended open invitations to stakeholders from government, business, financial institutions, and civil society to actively participate, sponsor, and contribute to AEBF-25 this October. (AT Network)
